In a nutshell we've partnered with a reputable Baja van tour company, & certified Baja real estate agents to offer a quick, easy, & cost-effective way for you to view the available for sale and for rent housing options in Tijuana, Rosarito, & Ensenada.
Every week our Baja real estate agent network provides a list of the best quality for rent and for sale homes and condominiums available to tour and we create the tour routes or itinerary for a tour of similar listing types, i.e. by price, location, size, etc...
You simply reserve your seat(s), and then meet at the San Ysidro Pedestrian crossing on the Mexico side. If you've never been there, it is very straight forward pedestrian crossing that starts right at the end of the Trolley tracks. Just follow everyone else walking up the slightly inclined big walkway.
On the U.S. side there are numerous paid parking lots, typically $8-$20 for 8 hours, right by the pedestrian crossing, as well as the trolley that ends literally at the start of the pedestrian crossing.
Bring your Unexpired Passport to get into Mexico, they often look at it for only a few seconds, say you're going into Mexico for a couple hours if they ask, but it's a pretty relaxed entry, they have some border guards too, but typically you just walk right through without even having to say a word to anyone.
Once you've gone through the final 2 turn-styles and "crossed" you'll immediately see 4-6 drink and trinket carts, and taxis on the street, just say "no thanks" a few times and go to the right and walk over the bridge, the Tour Van will be visible to your right on the first floor of the multi-colored 6 story parking garage once you cross the bridge.
It's likely the only Tour Van there but it also has a 2 foot x 2 foot "Baja Home Tours" large decal on both sides.
The Van will wait 15 minutes after the scheduled tour start time, then depart to the first home to where you'll have 20-30 minutes to tour the property before going to the next property. After the last property the Tour Van will drop everyone off at the start of the same pedestrian crossing back into the U.S., which you can see below the bridge you are walking over in the beginning.
On the return to the USA, If you have Sentri or Global Entry or other "fast pass" type of passport card then you should be able to walk past the entire line (walk on the inside line closest to the stores) and walk all the way to the front where the "Sentri" or other "Global Entry" lines have only a few people and it takes less than 5 minutes typically to cross back into the U.S. FYI, there aren't many people in line for the "fast pass" type of crossing so you won't see an actual line of people on the "inside line", you just walk past everyone else and go all the way to the front versus standing in the normal line on the outside of the sidewalk. See the signs above your head for "Sentri" etc...
If you have a normal Passport then you can either wait in the regular pedestrian crossing line or pay one of the "tour bus" companies that have representatives right where "our" Tour Van drops you off, they sell seats on what are essentially "border crossing" buses that just get you across faster and you are sitting down on a bus the whole time versus standing in a line. They drop you off in the same place you would walk out of if you waited in any of the pedestrian lines and walked across.
The Tour Van driver and real estate agent both speak English, and in the Van there will be a cooler with ice for anything you want to keep cold, as well as cold bottled waters. Restroom stops will be taken as needed depending on the tour length. See F.A.Q.'s for additional information or contact us with any questions.
